You Are A: Monkey!

monkeyMonkeys are intelligent and agile, well-adapted for jungle life as they swing happily from tree to tree. As a monkey, you are a social animal who prefers a warm climate, eats a wide range of food and is quick to learn new things. Sep. 21st, 2005 10:39 pm mmmm papers

I love writing papers. Research papers, theories, essays, you name it I'll write it. BUT I hate doing the research part of any paper! (their evil) Right now I'm writing two papers. One for my class called Dracula (yes about the book) but the paper is on Oscar Wilde. Ironic I know. But still fun. Did you know that Oscar loved Bram's wife before Bram married her? Or that they were both gay? (perhaps together) Or that Oscar's trial greatly influenced Bram's book Dracula? Oh so many things to put in to a paper but I have to narrow it down. Thats the part I hate.
I'm also writing a summary (which has to be 4 pages long) summarizing the first four chapter of The Cambridge Companion to Science Fiction. Which is about the history of SF. USING BLOODY LISTS. No data just frelling list. Blah wrote blah which inspired blah to write blah which in turn sparked the blah revolution of writing which produced blah writers who wrote blah. I think you get the picture.

WOOT This weekend I'm going home. Yes I'm bring my friend from Peru with me but hey it's still cool. have I mentioned yet that I'm in ISA (International Student Association)? I'm from Dallas, born and raised. umm I guess I represent USA? I'm also carrying the USA flag in something... I think the homecomming parade. But its cool I think I'm the only american in it. No bloody idea how that happened. It's cool though I get to explain everything to all the forign peoples who don't know what a float is or a parade for that matter. . . (there were a few). How do you explain a parade .. it's a bunch of people who walk down a street and wave...*trails off* umm yes.

Weee As the sleep deprived freshman I am I'm going to go to bed now.

(did I mention that I still don't have an adviser. might want to get one...)

Aug. 29th, 2005 07:49 pm The Legend of the Dragon's Tears

Long ago when the ages of the world were turning, and the time of man was beginning; all mystical creatures were summoned over the rainbow and beyond the sky. As the very last unicorn and the very last dragon rose in to the twilight sky, the broken hearted dragon cried great tears for his lost home. As his tear fell through the rainbow they turned beautiful colors and fell to rest in all the warm sunny places the dragon had loved best. The true of heart and pure of soul can find them still, if he or she looks caredfully durring the quiet summer evening hours in thoese places the dragon loved the best.

I just found dragon tears collection complete with the whole story about them so I thought I would post the story cause I've always loved it.

List of things that went "missing" durring move in:
1. FCUK shirt
2. my earings (found at home)
3. My care bears arm warmers
4. my lotion (bought new stuff smells like cocoa beans)
5. my sanity
6. note cards (had to buy new ones)
7. a drying rack
8. my brain
9. I know there's more so for right now I'll put ...
10. ...

Aug. 19th, 2005 08:30 pm Moved in

Ok So everything has offically been moved to TCU and I am a dorm resident. I even have my own PO Box (so to speak). Lets see today I went to... where did I go. Oh right Office depot and bought ink stuffies, and to Tom Thumb to buy bread, jelly, umm sting cheese, and paper towels. BUT before I did that I needed gas. So I went off with my cute little exxon mobil gas card in search of a exxon mobil station. I was smart and looked it up on the internet before I left thinking 'ok this will be easy I'll find one close to me and just run over there before I go to tom thumb. easy enough' I bet you didn't know that with in the last 6 months all the exxon mobil stations have LEFT fort worth but they forgot to update their web site so I'm driving around with a gas card no gas and $10 total. it was really sad. So I need to get a gas card of sorts or cash. Either one will work.

Ok so my room mate is going through rush. I'm not. Currently all the girls at TCU are going through rush. I'm not. To move in this early you either have to go to frog camp or go though rush. I went to frog camp. So as I said all the girls (freshman) on campus are going through rush. I'm not. And I'm borred out of my skull.
My bedroom window faces west. I get the most beautiful sunsets ever. Period. It is so amazing I just don't know what to say about it. I don't think words can describe the color or the simplistic beauty of a sunset.

My saying I was moved in is true. Fully inpacked and organized is a totally different statment. Tomorrow I finnish my closet and move things to my car so it's not so crowed in my closet. But while I was unpacking a box today (the last box I might add) I found all my wooden figurines. Like my guardian angel. I also have a turtle, a cat, and a seal. I have a really cool stone horned frog it has pearcing blue eyes and I put him so he could stare down on me while I work. Kinda a preasure thingie. I also with out realizing it until right now that I put my angel right in front of my copy of Life of Pi by Yan Martel. (Which I highly recomend) One of the most religious and influencial books I've ever read. It helped me spritually.

I almost wish I had my scrapbook stuff to work on but I left it all with my mom so she could finish the china book. I'm thinking about starting one for all four years at TCU. It would make a really cool book. Maybe I can talk mom in to buying me that TCU book I saw at recollections. . .

Ok fin.

Aug. 4th, 2005 12:12 am Random Crap

I just saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. personally I loved it! It was funny and cute and johnny depp. . . *drool*.
And Tim Burton is a movie genius. or at least I think so. I think I gained weight watching that movie. Which means I need NEED to find some sort of work out class at my new gym. Also known as the TCU rec. center. heehee. I'm a college student. That still sound freaky.

I've packed all my good books. Well ok not my favorite ones their not going. I want to actually read what I'm suppost to read when I'm suppost to read it. So that means I have to leave all my favorite authors behind. Ok Not all. LOTR and Harry Potter are comming and I'm going to sneak some Marion Zimmer Bradly and Anne McCaffrey in too. (with my clothing.) But right now I'm going back to my child hood and reading fun books like what i read in 5th grade. Their really cute books too. Like books written by Tamora Pierce. She was one of my favorite authors. I'm also investigating this whole Harry Potter is evil thing. I wish my Grandfather was here so I could talk to him about it. He was a Desciple's of Christ Minister. (for those of you who don't know he died on nov. 14 of 2004. and yes I still cry cause I still miss him so much). But I'm trying to figure out what all the talk is about. I know the books aren't evil (my grandfather read and loved them HE acutally got me hooked on them and bought me a movie poster!)

I really hope my room mate and I really do get along not just what we've talked about on AIM. Hopefully we will have classes at the same time or something so we can work out at the same time. Neither of us has ever shared a room before AND we're both the oldest sibling. SO this is going to be interesting. Mom's given me all this phyco babble about how oldest siblings are typically _____ and with me and all my friends here it's true.

So I've finished my senior scrapbook and now I'm ready to start my China book. I went to a Jo-ann's sale and spent $80 on over 100 peices of paper and a case. (all that would normally run about $200) Did I mention the STICKERS! ! ! thoses things are waaaaaaayy too much fun!

Ok well it's after midnight and I should get some sleep.

Jul. 2nd, 2005 06:16 pm packing

I just packed my first box for school. Kinda scarry. I thought all my stuff would fit in two or three boxes, right now it's looking like it's going to be more like four or five. Ahhhh!!

So in that box is my towels, and two blankets, batteries, tool box, umm some extentions wires, and I think some other stuff but I don't remember right now. My next box is going to be full of books. Then clothes, then more, then even more, and then a box of shoes, then a box or other stuff (like sheets and pillows and shampoo and maybe even some more books).

AHHHHH! ! !

So right now I'm relaxing watching Iron Chief America (so good) I wish I could cook like that. Oh wait I can do cakes and other deserts like that HAHA.
I should cook some more people let me know when you want a cake and I will call/email/im me and let me know.

I still need see Mr. and Mrs. Smith. A few friends went to see it at lowes (I don't go there ever) A few people have been robbed and raped and shot and I just don't like the theater.
Any one want to go with me? please (you kinda have to be in Dallas) I'll go any where but lowes. (yuck)

I also need to see Madagascar (any one else wanna go see that) it looks so funny. I can't wait to see the penguins.

I don't remember if I already posted saying that March of the Penguins is a really good movie. I know it's a documenary but still go see it damn it. It's voiced by Morgan Freeman and it's really cute and funny.

Ok so I leave for China on July 14th. Guess what come out on the 16th.

HARRY POTTER! ! ! ! AHHHHHHH! !! sooo frustrated.
I'm going to try and find and english copy in China. Wish me luck.

Jun. 28th, 2005 09:58 pm March of the Penguins

Ok I just saw March of the Penguins and if you have the chance to go see it you should. it was so good. I went to and advanced screening with my dad tonight and it was really good.

Lets see today I went out to lunch with my aunt, went over to TCU with my mom and bought books for my classes. (I just got in to the Dracula class I can't wait). Then we went and spent over 4 hours with my grandmother and her dog (we had to take her to the vet) so I came home smelling like dog. But I did manage to get from my grandmother a Don Quiode statue. My Grandfather collected them because he loved the book. The whole charging windmills really described his life. He would go and do the impossible daily. I miss him. Alot.

Ok end.
